Since Mildura we have done some real exploring
We headed to Bendigo, which is a towm that appealed.  managed to meet some friends from wa who were there for a wedding!  took the kids down the gold mine which was very well done and generally explored the area.  Really appealed!
Then we headed off to Benella to see some Ned Kelly country.  Now that is an area I could call hole.  we were lick to see it at its best after lots of rain and not yet full of hoppers eating everything.  up in the mountains there is very nice.  Drove the Harquwa river track......wow
After that we headed to Albury Wodanga....stay on the NSW side.  A nice place to see.  wonderful to see the rivers so full!

We have been busy in Perth, catching up with friends and taking in the sights.  There is too much we have seen to detail here, but the Museum was a definate highlight (took us two visits to get around), as was the Maritime Museum in Fremantle.  Anntoinette and Georgie went to see the WA Ballet present "Sleeping Beauty" at Burswood, which, by all accounts, was fantasic.  Morgan attended a cricket coaching clinic yesterday, presented by The Western Warriors, and honed his skills under their expert tuition.]]>Wed, 22 Sep 2010 04:33:55 GMThttps://www.restellsaroaming.com/where-are-we-now/perthHave been a little slow as school work has hogged the computer for the last week or so.  We had a great time in the South West.  Albany is a wonderful place with a really great food culture!  We also managed to do some walking in the Sterling Ranges which are very spectular.  We stayed at Middleton Beach Caravan Park where the whales were swimming near the beach!
Busselton was also lovely.  We spent some time out in the Margaret River area and walked around the light house where we saw whales again (and also had some wonderful coffee!   
We then headed up to Bunbury to see James and Amelia.  Will catch up with them in an other week or so while the van has some repairs done. 
Perth is so much like we remember... Busy, sunny and with lots of great things to do.  It is wonderful to caatch up wiith friends from so long ago and know that things do not change....that much.  We are all a little older and wiser and .......you know not so fit- except for Kate.  We are here for the next week or so.... then we will decide where to next.
]]>Fri, 27 Aug 2010 01:49:17 GMThttps://www.restellsaroaming.com/where-are-we-now/esperanceOpps sorry all.  Have been a little slow lately.  We left Port Lincoln and headed for Streaky Bay where we stayed a few nights.  Here we saw whales, seals and some awsome places.  It was windy, raining and cold so the boys really didn't get too fish at all (though they did have on attempt at dinner... we ate at the pub). 
After that we did the drive across... which is always something worth doing.  To really appreciate how big Australia is everyone should do this trip.  There is so much nothng.....but it is so Beautiful.  Stopping at the Whake centre to see a  heep of whales and calfs was wonderful (we saw the little white one), as was having the children realise how precious water is in this area.
We are now in Esperence staying with the Hunts (from rugby days).  We will head to Kalgoorlie over the weekend so G can see the town where she was born, then off around the coast.  Beautiful white beaches, blue as blue water and whales... What more can you ask for!]]>Sat, 14 Aug 2010 12:34:19 GMThttps://www.restellsaroaming.com/where-are-we-now/port-lincolnWe have een in  Port Lincoln for the last few days.  It has been wet and cold most of the time but worth the stop.  We are down near the water and can often watch the dolphins play while doing the washing up!  Yesterday we went around to Sleaford Bay where we watched whales in the water for about an hour!.  They were wonderful creatures and just beautiful to watch as they rolled and wallowed in the shallow water just past the breakers.  Makes you feel like going for a swim (well untill you put your big toe in or read all the signs about the white pointers.  Off tomorrow to Streaky Bay and then the Bight!]]>Mon, 02 Aug 2010 08:14:34 GMThttps://www.restellsaroaming.com/where-are-we-now/adelaideHave made it to Adelaide via Torque and the Great Ocean Road and also the Grampians.  Loved both and will return to both areas for another holiday soon (I hope).  We are now in Adelaide.  I love the feel of this city.  Off to see the Pandas at the zoo tomorrow after red wine with friends tonight ( Andrew and Bec) then will catch up with others tomorrow (Sally, John, Sophie and Oliver).  Then it is off to do more winerys.....maybe that is why I like Addelaide... 3 major wine areas less than 1 hour away.  Life is good.]]>Mon, 12 Jul 2010 08:46:46 GMThttps://www.restellsaroaming.com/where-are-we-now/hobartHave been exploring Hobart over the last few days.  Much to Georgies disgust we have not had rain (the first capital yet where we have missed out).  While it is cold it is not too bad, there is no snow on Mt Wellington.  Have been doing lots of walks and enjoying the see food!  Went south today and did the tree top walk.   Beautiful down here!]]>Wed, 07 Jul 2010 10:20:25 GMThttps://www.restellsaroaming.com/where-are-we-now/tasmainiaArrived this morning on the boat and loving it already.  We only have 10 days co have to make the most of them.  With a stop off at Launcestion for breakfast we made it to Coles Bay on the Freycinet Peninsular for a base for the next two nights.  Love the enviroment and atmosphere and small town feel.  Anyone want to go shares in a cottage down this way?]]>
